Scuba Diving
Our fourth year class went scuba diving and while I could leave it at that and go off for an early lunch I like to think that I have a bit more of a standard for myself than that. The course was really just a taste that was split into two parts. Firstly a theory class so that we knew the different hand signs and what everything does so that we weren’t just making random gang signs and flailing about in the water. I found that when we got our gear that it was weird to be in this much gear and almost too heavy, as I felt I would sink like a stone as I got in the water. What I was very surprised about was the feeling of weightlessness and serenity that I felt when under the water. I truly felt free as swam around the pool and through the hoop they had in the ground. I personally did not have any difficulties with scuba Diving and felt ok with being under water I could see why and did see some people not being used to it at all.
