Carlingford Adventure Centre
Carlingford Adventure centre then it was a load of different activities from Canoeing to zip lines across a Quarry and while I do not usually fear heights, I think a bird might have thought some of these wires might have been a bit high. I really cannot complain with much though as I usually just jumped screaming something along the lines of Geronimo or some other random word. I loved the feeling as I raced the through the air going towards a tree seeing the landscape pass below me.
Those zip lines were not the only things that I found were terrifying being on a plate the size of a pizza box high in the air. We hung onto each other as the wind shook the platform as we screamed in terror wondering how two more people would fit on the miniscule amount of room. I really would not have recommended it before I had to jump of the box and I made a leap of faith. The rope caught me, it was the closest to flying I will ever get and as I floated down a feeling, serenity was worth the fear.
It was not all flying without wings there was also canoeing and that was something I honestly can’t say I really enjoyed. My main reason for my dislike is that it was the coldest I have ever felt and that is saying something considering the recent snow here. I was so cold so very cold that is the memory of that activity. While I was rowing, I thought it was ok but the shivers of cold only make me remember the cold even now.
I think I enjoyed the centre while I have just summarised the three memories that stand out to me when at Carlingford I would like to think that I have given each it’s own originality of my own personal experience enough that it is more of a blog and less a review.
