The Dell work experience started on the 13th of November 2017. The work experience was honestly amazing I loved the vast majority of it and though there was one day in which there were too many power points there was more than enough interactivity to make up for it.
The first day was a good start with an introduction and a few team-building exercises we were of and got a tour round the entire site, which is massive and felt a bit like a labyrinth. It ended with some more activities to keep us entertained.
The second day was the one I was not as fond of as I was the others. While it was still interesting, they had too many power points and I struggled to focus on the speakers by the end of the day.
Wednesday was by my favourite day as it started with the dragons den in which I designed and sold the Omega a two in one laptop being the last thing you will ever need to buy. I ended up winning a Twix bar for my sales. We then had a hackathon on the way to improve dells social media and you can see the certificate gotten at the end.
Thursday was interesting as the focus of the day being on how to write a good CV as well as interview well. I guess the people at dell though our CVs that we sent in were all rubbish but anyway. I found that particular segment to be quite useful.
Friday was another good day with the start being about coding where we played around with making different games and then we had the project on what a part of the world will be like in a particular point of life in 50 years. Our group worked on computers implanted into desks.
Overall I quite enjoyed the work experience and to quote someone smarter than me
