The First Aid course was a three day course that taught me useful skills for life.
During the course the different ailments from cuts to hypothermia.
I enjoyed the course for a few reasons. First it was simple enough to understand but at the same time not to slow as to leave you bored and with questions being asked it kept you on your toes. Then I liked the man giving it I didn’t get his name but i found that he was able to teach while having a but of messing to keep us focused. Thirdly I never had to ask myself am I wasting my time so it felt worthwhile just doing the work and learning to quite literally bring someone back to life with CPR while “humming stayin alive”.
While Nothing is perfect I still do have problems as nothing is absolutely perfect but these are all really nitpicking and I would still recommend the course regardless ok good lets go.
I would have loved instead of a written exam you were given a situation say that they collapsed or had nuts and you had to check to see if there was a problem and it was based on your response time and the quality of the diagnosis you gave. The other thing is if it were a bit longer so we could see if there was a way to increase the amount that we learned to as a just incase but as they say hindsight is 20-20.
All in all I enjoyed my time on the course even though I am still humming stayin alive as I write this I still loved the course.
